Machine Shop Lead

The Machine Shop Lead is a hands‐on player‐coach responsible for overseeing daily production, ensuring part quality, and maintaining the efficiency of CNC lathe operations. This role leads from the floor—performing setups, programming, and troubleshooting while guiding operators to meet production schedules and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Production Oversight: Coordinate daily workflow, prioritize jobs, and assign machines to ensure on‐time completion. CNC Programming & Setup: Write, edit, and optimize programs using Mazatrol and G-code; perform complex setups including tooling, offsets, and workholding. Quality Control: Perform first article and in‐process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges) to maintain tight tolerances (±0.001).
