Machine Operator II, 1st shift

The primary function of this role is to identify and remove burrs, sharp edges, and raised material from machined components. This role requires the ability to perform duties to set up and operate a number of manually controlled machines and/or hand tools to produce precision machined components within a work-cell environment. Follow quality and safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. This Position is also responsible for contributing to the improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and 6S in the Machining Department.

Key Accountabilities

• Work from process sheets, blueprints, setup sheets, setup cards, Gemba boards, and verbal as well as written instructions.

• Visually detect burrs, sharp corners, and raised material and to remove them accurately both manually (files, deburring tools, Dremel tools, wire or scotch brite wheels) and utilizing machines (grit blasters, tumbling machines, lathes, and other deburring machines...
