Machine Operator

My client is currently looking for a Machine Operator to join an innovative, established business on a temporary to permanent basis, based in Birtley. This is working on a rotating shift pattern of days and afternoons. You must be able to do both shifts. There will also get a pay rise for the successful candidate once permanent.

Morning shift – Monday to Friday 06:00 until 12:00 £12.71 per hour; Afternoon shift – Monday to Friday 14:00 until 20:00 £14.83 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery in line with production requirements
• Set up machines, including loading materials and adjusting settings
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and producing quality output
• Carry out routine quality checks and record results
• Identify and report faults, defects, or breakdowns
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Read and follow work instructions, job sheets, and specifications
