The Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, treatment, and care for LTC residents. The role involves conducting initial assessments and regular reassessments, documenting clinical information, and developing personalized Physiotherapy care plans in collaboration with clients and their families. The incumbent monitors client progress and modifies treatments to achieve specific goals related to transfers, ambulation, strength, range of motion, balance, and functional mobility. Additionally, they actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, including measuring outcomes, gathering satisfaction feedback, mentoring clinical physiotherapy students and supervising Physiotherapy assistants.
