LPN

The LPN is directly responsible to the House Supervisor, RN for quality patient care provided to patients on the units.

Demonstrate knowledge, effectiveness and efficiency in providing nursing care.

Provide nursing care based on the patient’s nursing care plan under the direction of the physician.

Observe patient behavior and notifies appropriate staff.

Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects patient’s rights.

Assist the physician with physical exams.

Assist with admissions, discharge, and transfer of patients.

Follows instructions outlined in the policies and procedures.

Completes rounds and observes precautions and documents.

Serves as a role model for patients.

Ensures that patients and families are oriented to the program.
