**Job Description**
The Low Voltage Technician I is an essential member of a technical team, responsible for learning and applying skills in the structured cabling industry. This role typically requires one year of experience in the field.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install work area outlets for floors, modular furniture, and walls, utilizing methods such as surface mount boxes and box eliminators.
+ Use fish tape or other methods to drop cable down walls and route cable through modular furniture.
+ Perform pre-termination procedures, including organizing, forming, dressing cables, and determining length, slack, and labeling.
+ Correctly suspend and support cables using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze.
+ Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and hardware.
+ Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable as needed.
