Low Voltage Technician
Responsibilities
+ Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A, in commercial and industrial environments.
+ Perform fiber optic installation, termination, and splicing using fusion or mechanical methods, ensuring high-quality connections.
+ Run and route low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable tray systems in accordance with NEC and project specifications.
+ Install and terminate patch panels, racks, jacks, and related network equipment to support data and communication systems.
+ Test and certify copper and fiber cabling using appropriate testing equipment such as OTDRs and power meters, and document test results.
+ Support installation and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm cabling.
+ Pull, label, and neatly dress cables to maintain organized and professional installations.
