Line Mechanic

We have 1 vacancy in the role of Distribution Line Mechanic working in Whangarei. This is a full‑time, permanent role working Mon – Fri, 40 hours plus on‑call roster/standby roster requirements which can include after hours and weekend work. Minimum hours per week is 30. Hourly rate – $38 - $42.50 p/hr.

About the role

To ensure the construction and maintenance of electrical lines to customer and network requirements are met in a timely, appropriate and efficient manner.

• Building, servicing and maintaining overhead electrical lines up to 33kV
• Installing and replacing pole structures and conductors
• Operating equipment and completing field documentation
• Supporting performance targets with strong teamwork and problem‑solving
• Ensuring safety, compliance and quality in every task
