Lighting Technical Director - ILM Vancouver

This role is considered Hybrid, which means the employee will work 2-3 days onsite at a Company designated location and occasionally from home.

Position Summary Industrial Light & Magic is looking for a Lighting Technical Director (TD) to join our extraordinary team! The Lighting TD is responsible for producing high-quality lighting, shading and rendering of complex shots for high-end photo-realistic visual effects films and feature animations. With initial direction and mentorship from their Supervisors, they identify and match the colour and directions of all light sources in the real-world scene to the reference and plates for replication in CG. Their primary task is to produce beautiful and seamless lighting for many shots across multiple sequences while maintaining visual consistency and quality throughout. A passion for excellence, humility and the drive to constantly improve are key to the success of a Lighting TD.
