The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (https://med.stanford.edu/cvmedicine.html) is a dynamic and innovative center dedicated to excellence in research, medical education, and clinical care. Our Division is driven by over 80 faculty, clinician educators and instructors who are the pillar of strength in the Division's ongoing efforts into the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

The Knowles Lab (https://med.stanford.edu/knowleslab.html) seeks scientist to assist in NIH funded studies centered on our efforts to determine the inherited basis of insulin resistance. We use modern genetic techniques in in vitro and in vivo model systems to determine causal genes and their mechanism of action. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic team players with an understanding of basic molecular biology. In addition to experimental work, some general lab maintenance and organizational work will be required.
