Licensing Technical Officer

We are looking for a Licensing Technical Officer to join an East Midlands local authority on a contract basis.

Purpose Of Post

Provide technical, specialist and general support within the Licensing Teams.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Licensing & Regulatory Experience: Knowledge of the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and other regulatory elements. A Professional Licensing Practitioners Qualification is desirable.
• Producing relevant correspondence, answering queries, providing advice, and verifying applications.
• Preparation of invoices and monitoring progress.
• Inspecting and enforcing relevant statutory provisions in all premises and circumstances where the Council is the enforcing authority.
• Investigating complaints and service requests received by the Department.
• Preparing legal notices and other documents as required.
