Assist physician with duties necessary to support the needs of the practice working within and to the maximum scope of license. Must be licensed in the state of practice. One-year experience in healthcare field preferred but not required. Essential functions include directing patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for exams or treatments, writing or calling in prescriptions, emailing, faxing or calling in insurance referrals, assisting in departmental operations, attending to exam and procedure rooms, administering injections and medications, routing patients for ancillary testing, having basic knowledge of medications, reading and reviewing pathology results with patients, setting up and tearing down sterile fields, assisting surgeons with operative procedures, maintaining infection control measures, proficient with autoclave sterilization process, knowledge and proficiency of dressing changes and suture removal, assessing signs and symptoms o...
