Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Summary
The LPN works under the supervision of the RN to evaluate, plan, implement and monitor health care for Job Corps students.
Essential Functions

1. Assists in coordinating and conducting cursory and comprehensive health assessments for all new students within PRH-specified timeframes.
2. Assists in the daily operation of the H&W clinic to include coordinating student appointments, performing routine care, monitoring students on bed rest, and documenting health care in the confidential student health file.
3. Treats minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instructions.
4. Prepares and administers medications in alignment with Job Corps Health Care Management Guidelines, also the state practice act. Maintains strict compliance in documenting medication logs and the security of medication supplies in compliance with PRH Appendix 203 Medication Management Guidelines.
