GRADE:  272 POSITION SUMMARY : 
Under the Direction of Nursing Administration, oversees all aspects for the delivery of patient care and documentation for the Nursing Unit. Responsible for the twenty-four hour continuity of care for the Nursing Unit. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 
Reports to Nursing Administration in overseeing nursing coverage to provide safe nursing care for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the Nursing Unit.  
Performs in a Leadership role as a coordinator of the Nursing unit to implement unit based direction, including unit based goals. Functions as a role model for all staff on the Nursing Unit.
