Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Pen-y-Cwm Special School is seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff, to support learners with complex needs in our 4 – 19 special school in Ebbw Vale.

The candidate must be willing to demonstrate they are a team player alongside our established support team, maintaining their core values by:

•Enabling learners to be successful through developing and supporting excellent 

attitudes to learning.

• Supporting learner’s emotional wellbeing, enabling them to be safe at all times.

• You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. 

• You must be resourceful, positive, emotionally resilient and have a holistic approach to supporting the needs of children and young people. An ability to contribute to the warm, caring ethos of our school is essential.
