Level 1 Teaching Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant with a strong background or interest in the field of SEN and Disability. Experience supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) is advantageous. This unqualified post welcomes graduates with a relevant degree, or candidates currently enrolled in an NVQ3 course in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar.

Responsibilities

The TA supports personalised learning at all levels as part of a team, including teaching, learning, assessment, behaviour management and care. Duties include physical management and care of pupils, assisting pupil‑student assistants, and participating actively in the wider life and enrichment activities of the school.
