Legal Director

Overview

Our client, a technology driven oil services company, is seeking a Legal Director to join its business team. This is a Hybrid role located in Calgary, Alberta. This position is seeking a Corporate/Commercial lawyer with 5-10 years of experience, with some experience working In House.

The successful candidate will be the internal legal expert working with senior leadership, handling all manners of corporate and commercial issues including commercial contracts, risk assessments, employment, and IP matters.

This is a newly created expansion role and will be best suited for someone with experience working in an IH commercial position prior.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and implementing all commercial contracts including vendor agreements, NDAs, MSAs, and other client-facing and operational contracts
• Coordinating and working closely with outside counsel on IP matters, Government reporting, HR documents...
