Legal Accounting and Administration Clerk – Estate & Trust Litigation
Halifax, NS – Full‑time, 12‑month contract position covering a maternity leave, with possibility for extension. The successful candidate will assist with all phases of client billing, including bill preparation, submission, follow‑up, and communication with clients and Partners, and will also provide general administrative support as needed.
Responsibilities
- Preparing bills for clients on a monthly or on‑request basis, including:
- Processing, reviewing, and editing pre‑bills;
- Preparing final bills for lawyers' approval;
- Submitting final bills to clients;
- Attending to accounts receivable follow‑ups and collections communications;
- Proactively monitoring and reviewing the billing system and firm’s bank accounts to ensure that client data is kept current and accurate;
