Lead Nurse, Women's Secure Outreach Service

Following the success of an innovative pilot, we are excited to offer this permanent Lead Nurse (Band 8B) role within the Women's Outreach Service. This is a system‑wide leadership role within a cross‑county service funded by the KSS Secure Provider Collaborative, working across PICU, prison healthcare and community pathways to improve outcomes for women and promote care in the least restrictive environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure women receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time, reducing unnecessary secure admissions and championing trauma‑informed approaches.
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless disabled as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
• Provide expert clinical leadership across forensic pathways, supporting women in PICU and prison healthcare settings to avoid unnecessary admission to secure services.
