Position Details
Lead Fleet Mechanic

The Lead Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the district’s buses and fleet vehicles in a safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition to support uninterrupted transportation services for the educational program. This position oversees fleet maintenance operations, supervises technicians, manages shop organization and inventory, and ensures compliance with all safety and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Fleet Maintenance & Operations
Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules to ensure buses and fleet vehicles are operational and ready to meet transportation requirements.

Supervise and assist technicians in diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs on buses, engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components.

Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of inspections and repairs.
