Lead Design Engineer

Overview

As a Lead Design Engineer , you will take technical ownership of Fire Suppression design activities across large, complex and multi-discipline projects. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, providing technical leadership, governance, and mentoring within the design team while supporting the business with high‑risk or specialist projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve Fire Suppression designs to LPCB, NFPA, FM Global, and customer standards
• Ensure design programmes are achieved to meet approval, fabrication, and construction milestones
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers
• Review and approve design risk assessments and technical submissions
• Liaise with Sales, Contract Managers, and site teams to resolve complex technical challenges
