Job Description
The primary objective of a Low Voltage Cable Technician is to execute structured cabling projects safely and efficiently. They pull, route, and terminate cables in commercial, industrial, and residential environments to ensure seamless communication and system functionality.
Core Responsibilities
* Cable Installation: Pull, route, dress, and terminate copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a), coaxial, and fiber optic cabling through walls, ceilings, and specialized pathways.
* Infrastructure Setup: Build out telecommunication rooms (MDF/IDF layouts), which includes mounting racks, patch panels, wire managers, and support systems like J-hooks and cable trays.
* System Integration: Mount and connect peripheral devices such as IP security cameras, wireless access points, intercoms, fire alarms, and network routers.
