Laundry Services Technician - Ephrata Community Hospital - Day

**Schedule**

Part Time: 16 Hours/Biweekly

Hours: 4 hours; One Day per Week

Every Other Saturday: 5:00am - 1:30pm

Rotating Holidays, Required

**General Summary**

Collects soiled laundry and distributes clean linens to user departments. Maintains stock levels on nursing floors. Follows established procedures.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Essential Functions:**

+ Collects soiled laundry from various areas of the hospital and delivers to soiled linen rooms in the linen services area.
+ Answers telephone, takes messages and/or linen orders by telephone or fax. Provides accurate information or forwards callers to appropriate resource.
+ Examines articles for stains, tears or other imperfections.
+ Counts and stacks linens for distribution or places them in supply storage. Reports linen supply shortages to linen manager.
