Laundry Attendant

**Description:**

**Duties and responsibilities related to the Laundry Attendant role:**

+ Collect soiled linens, towels, and uniforms from various departments within the hotel
+ Sort laundry by color, fabric type, and level of soiling to ensure proper washing procedures are followed
+ Inspect items for stains and damage, applying pre-treatment solutions to remove stubborn marks before washing
+ Weigh laundry loads to ensure machines are not overloaded and operate efficiently
+ Operate commercial washing machines and dryers, selecting the appropriate cycles for different types of fabrics
+ Add the correct amounts of detergents, softeners, and other cleaning chemicals as required
+ Monitor machine operations to ensure they are functioning correctly and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
+ Promptly unload wet laundry and transfer it to dryers to prevent mildew
