Laser Operator

Overview

Laser Operator Reports To: Fabrication Team Lead. The primary role of the Metal Working Laser Operator is to facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, including the use of sheet metal manipulation machinery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Fabricate piece parts according to schematics under supervision of a Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager.
• Assemble piece parts into final products.
• Read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts.
• Operate metal working manipulation machinery (e.g., brake, shear, saw, punch).
• Request and receive training on machining equipment as needed.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure good working order and notify leadership of malfunctions.
• Assist tradespeople and leadership with tasks related to project progress in a safe manner.
• Familiarize with new projects and duties, and request training on new equipment. ...
