Survey Technician
Overview
The Survey Technician supports field data collection and documentation of underground and aboveground utilities on active construction sites. This role is primarily field-based and suited for someone comfortable working independently in a heavy construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform as-built surveys for utilities (water, sewer, storm, electrical, communications)
Collect accurate field data using Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment
Work within project coordinate systems (RGK) to align with design plans
Maintain organized field notes and survey data files
Upload and transfer data for processing and reporting
Identify discrepancies between design and field conditions
Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules
