**Mother Baby Unit**

**East Tower, 2nd floor**

**This unit has 40 private rooms for both high risk and low risk postpartum patients, post-operative surgery and medical patients. As part of MercyOne Children’s Hospital the unit also has a newborn nursery. Nursing and medical providers work together as a team to deliver care for the newborn, mother as well as medical patients.**

**POSITION PURPOSE**

Acts as a clinical/educational resource to patient care activities/teaching programs within the area of defined specialization. Supports patient/family/unit needs of diverse ages.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
