Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager – Labour Relations, the Labour Relations Officer is responsible for the effective administration of labour and employee relations within a complex, multi‑union healthcare environment. The incumbent supports management to ensure consistent application of collective agreements, promotes positive relationships with union representatives, assists with resolving labour disputes, and provides education to build capacity among managers.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.
Experience
