Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operating)

Summary This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 (VISN 6), at the Durham VA Health Care System (VAHCS) in Durham, North Carolina, within the Construction Day Crew Section of the Engineering Service. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor of the Construction Shop Supervisor of Chief of Engineering Service. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include: Performs various general laborer duties including but not limited to; demolition of walls, floors, ceilings and other building systems, loading and unloading of trucks, transporting and preparing new building materials for use in internal construction projects throughout the medical center. Utilizes hand and powered equipment such as dollies, material carts, and pallet jacks.
