Laboratory Technician

Job Description
An employer is seeking 2 Laboratory Technicians for a long-term opportunity in the Decatur, IL area. This role supports plant operations through testing, process monitoring, and quality assurance.
You will prepare product samples, conduct routine testing, and monitor plant processes. Responsibilities include recording and reporting results, maintaining retention samples, and communicating findings to operations with recommended adjustments. You will also handle lab documentation, perform basic equipment maintenance and calibration, verify system accuracy using standards, and manage lab inventory.
In addition, you will maintain a clean and organized workspace, partner with production teams to support process improvements, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards (FDA, GMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
