Laboratory Nurse, Diagnostic Center Bacteriology

Welcome to work as a laboratory nurse in a bacteriology laboratory. HUS Diagnostic Center is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. We operate across eight medical specialties and provide services for the HUS consortium as well as other well-being areas. We are hiring two laboratory nurses for permanent and three-month fixed-term temporary positions in the bacteriology unit of the Diagnostic Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics in the bacteriology unit, including cultivation, microscopy, and nucleic acid analysis to identify bacteria, fungi, and parasites.
• Contribute to patient and customer experience with a focus on interaction during sample collection.
• Work in three shifts, including weekends, evenings, and nights, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in the development of new methods and adapt to evolving practices in a constantly advancing field.
