Laboratory Assistant

*_SUMMARY:_*
We are currently seeking a*Laboratory Assistant*to join our team. This part time role will work 40 hours within a two week pay period. This role will work on a mid/day schedule, including every other weekend. Will primarily work a mid-shift with a 10 AM or 12 PM start time, with some flex to 7 AM start time if needed for weekend coverage.
*Purpose of this position:*Under general supervision, performs work that involves collecting and/or processing laboratory specimens, entering data into the electronic health record (EHR) and/or the laboratory information system (LIS). Interacts and communicates with patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team by using various communication tools in a timely and professional manner
