Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Labor and Delivery Nurse for their Salida, CO location. Responsibilities:
+ Directly provides patient care and monitors the patient's response to labor, delivery and postpartum phases of pregnancy, assisting and education in breastfeeding as needed.
+ Promotes wellness for mother during pregnancy and after delivery through continuous education.
+ Provides education to mother about infant care.
+ Documents all events and education in the patient medical record utilizing computers.
+ Communicates patient's condition verbally and in writing to the physician and the nursing supervisor.
+ Assists other FBC staff in maintaining skills and learning new procedures and equipment.
+ Collaborates with nursery nurse in care of mother / baby couplet.
+ Assists physicians with procedures.
+ Assists nurse manager as requested.
