Lab technician

• All employees are legally responsible for their own health and safety as well as those who may be affected by their acts or omissions.  They are also legally required to co-operate in health and safety matters as directed by their employer.   
• This position is responsible for testing production batches according to specific written testing methods and identifying issues of both in-spec and out-of-spec data - runs routine or standard tests, such as weight, volume, density, viscosity, color,  
• May also perform basic calculations on test results to determine if product is within proper boundaries; notifies supervisors when required.  
• The lab technician will interpret results and historical data to ensure the product meets or exceeds the customers' requirements for quality as well as provide instructions to production personnel regarding adjustments to batches as needed.   
• Enter all test results into computer system.
