KS1 Teaching Assistant

About the role:

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Nuneaton to recruit a KS1 Teaching Assistant specialising in Phonics. This is a full-time role with an Immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school boasts a vibrant literacy program and provides staff with comprehensive Read Write Inc. training and regular mentoring from the English Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver small group Phonics interventions
• Support pupils with early reading and writing
• Assist with classroom management in Year 1 and 2
• Track and report on pupil literacy progress

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
