                Kitchen Assistant Position – Haven Old Age Home Location: Woodstock, Cape Town. Reports to the Manager.  
 Overview The Haven Night Shelter Organisation offers social work services, rehabilitation opportunities, family reunification services, physical care and support to adult people living on the streets who are committed to reintegration. The Haven Old Age Home requires a Kitchen Assistant.  
 Responsibilities Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene. Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes. Preparation of meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat. Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors and wiping down kitchen walls. Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies. Organising and correctly storing food supplies.
