Qualifications and Abilities

• A valid Nova Scotia Teaching Certificate.
• M Ed. in Special Education; M Ed. in Inclusive Education; or Diploma in Special Education preferred.
• Mandatory: Must complete or be willing to complete mandatory courses: Master's Ed. Course Principle of Assessment, M Ed. Course in Individual Testing or Assessment for Learning 1, M Ed. Course in Programming for Exceptionalities or Programming for students with learning differences, and Curriculum practices for at‑risk students.
• Mandatory: Must be trained in or willing to complete mandatory AVRSB New Resource Teacher Program.
• Mandatory: Must provide mandatory Criminal Record Check and completed mandatory Child Abuse Registry – Request for a Search Form.
• Mandatory: Must provide three mandatory professional/supervisory references, their email address...
