Kaitohutohu | Advisor, Tauranga (Fixed Term)

Our Tauranga tīma is looking for a Kaitohutohu | Advisor. This is a full time, fixed term opportunity until the end of April 2027.

This role is part of a high‑impact team that works across the Waikato‑Waiariki rohe, supporting post‑settlement governance entities, contributing to accords, and promoting Māori economic development and growth.

About you

• Strong writing skills
• Established stakeholder management skills
• Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and recognising the importance of the Treaty/Tiriti from both Māori and Crown perspectives
• Understanding of the machinery of Government, public service and public sector processes that ensure the impartiality of Public Servants
• Experience working in a Kaupapa Māori environment
• Full, clean driver licence
• Experience working in an iwi organisation, Māori organisation or in local Government is advantageous
