Junior or Intermediate Biologist

SEM is currently seeking a Junior or Intermediate Biologist for a three month contract, from June 1 to September 1, to be based out of our St. John’s office. This contract will have a possibility of extension.

The biologist will assist the SEM team in completing project-based aquatics work for a variety of clients across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with various freshwater aquatic surveys
• Data analysis, interpretation of technical reporting and report preparation.
• Preparing federal and provincial permit applications.
• Utilizing various field instruments for the collection of data while maintaining accurate records as per company quality assurance/quality control protocols.
• Training will be provided for specialized data collection tasks.
