Junior Environmental Technician

Overview

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full‑time Junior Environmental Technician to join our team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Ideal candidates will have experience in plant, wetland and wildlife identification, soil classification, Detailed Site Assessments (DSAs) and/or weed spraying. The successful candidates will also possess a keen eye for detail, be critical thinkers, and will enjoy working in the field for extended periods of time. Reporting to an Environmental Project Manager, the Junior Environmental Technician must be someone who is willing to travel and take additional responsibilities as the position/project evolves. Previous environmental experience is considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher post‑secondary education in Reclamation, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Biological Science, Natural Resource Management, Forestry or other applicable field
