Journeyperson Pipefitter

West Fraser is currently recruiting a Journeyperson Pipefitter for Cariboo Pulp. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is a key player in the company's continuous improvement efforts, focusing on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment repairs within planned time frames and complete related record-keeping.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes to determine layout, pipe type, size, and required tools.
• Apply system operation knowledge to select the most suitable pipe type and size.
• Perform general maintenance, including replacement of worn components.
• Install support equipment such as hangers, brackets, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications.
• Inspect the worksite to ensure no obstructions; repair or modify designs if necessary.
