Journeyperson Machinist

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Machinist will be responsible for performing assigned tasks safely and efficiently by regularly using various machines and hand tools.

You'll Do

• Be a key player in a company-wide continuous improvement effort
• Read and interpret blueprints and perform precise machining operations based on project specifications
• Make parts using large and small lathes, milling machines, and drill presses to exacting standards and tight tolerances by verifying dimensions using precision measuring instruments
• Calibrate measuring instruments to ensure accuracy
• Inspect and test completed products to ensure that they meet quality standards
• Utilize knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings
• Work with other trades in a flexible team environment to achieve greater efficiency and productivity
