Job Summary

The carpenter is responsible for constructing and maintaining buildings.

Responsibilities

Required knowledge includes construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety.

The carpenter must be proficient at: hanging doors, drilling and setting door hardware, setting windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, formwork, and reading blueprints. The carpenter must also possess the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do materials estimates. ...
