The primary purpose of this position is: The incumbent is responsible for assessing the Information Technology capabilities and security controls supporting AFIT's School of Engineering Management and making recommendations to, command/control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) architectures. Responsibilities The incumbent works directly with peers, senior leaders, MAJCOM, and other external agency representatives to ensure stand-alone educational research systems are operated and maintained in a secure manner; works directly with mission system partners in the application of IT security configurations and controls; and leads investigations of IT security-related events to determine mission impact and short and long-term corrective actions.
