Interventional Radiology Technologist

Under general supervision, the Interventional Radiology Technologist assists the Radiologist with all aspects of the performance of highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Department of Interventional Radiology.

Demonstrates competence in the ALARA safety principle at all times. Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. Provides health care services in own job category to all age groups. Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups. Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantage assisting others, clerical duties, stocking, transporting, etc Utilizes Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
