Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical Building Systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates and reports for mechanical design projects
• Design HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, controls systems, and specialized piping systems (natural gas, fuel oil)
• Perform mechanical calculations for ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing
• Develop equipment schedules and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate design
• Conduct energy modeling for LEED, Green Globes, and Green Buildings Initiatives
• Complete facility condition assessments, feasibility studies, and design briefs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and respond to internal/external project inquiries

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with APEGNB/Engineers NS or eligible for registration
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience ...
