**Major/Essential Functions:**

+ Admits, evaluates, diagnoses, and manages hospitalized newborns in the newborn nursery, intermediate/special care nursery, or neonatal intensive care unit setting
+ Coordinates care and provides medical management for newborns born at greater than 32 weeks gestation, critically ill, or requiring surgical intervention
+ Delivers neonatal care in collaboration with neonatology faculty, including management of conventional mechanical ventilation, up to 24 hours
+ Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
