Position Summary

North Island College is seeking a knowledgeable and culturally grounded instructor to teach Kwak’wala 096 as a sessional faculty member within the Awi’nakola Program. This course may be delivered in a community-based partnership with the Kwakiutl Health Centre, supporting accessible learning rooted in local language and culture. The Awi’nakola Program focuses on culturally grounded learning that supports Kwak’wala language revitalization and community‑driven education. This teaching role contributes directly to strengthening language fluency, cultural continuity, and learner success across the North Island region.
