Role Overview

Institutional Equity Trader works on the institutional equity trading desk, facilitating client trades, managing risk, and supporting the bank’s market share and industry research. The role reports to the Managing Director, Head of Canada Cash Equity Trading and collaborates with teams across Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide research, trade ideas, and market trend analysis for institutional clients.
• Place and manage trade orders, ensuring all transactions are fully documented and processed accurately.
• Maintain client facilitation, investor interest, and corporate coverage activities.
• Ensure positions remain within approved limits and support the bank’s market profile.
• Stay fully informed on market data, economic information, and regulatory standards to maximize profitability.
