Function Perform various duties at the Nonconforming Materials Crib to review the salvageability of a variety of vendor manufactured items placed on review for variations from engineering specifications and coordinate the review of rejected items. Typical Job Responsibilities Follow standard inspection procedures and accepted standards of quality control to inspect, analyze, and review rejected parts, materials, and assemblies to determine feasibility of salvage. Work from engineering drawings and specifications to ascertain the correctness of rejection. Verify reports for accuracy of count, part identification, and description of variant characteristics. Check dimensions as necessary using shop mathematics, precision measuring instruments, standard fixed gages, and specialized inspection equipment. Expedite disposition of items by shop priority.
